About Working with Us
Do you handle every trade in-house, or do I have to coordinate contractors?
Every trade—fireplace, gas line, electrical, framing, finishing, tile and stone—is handled by our own in-house team. One project manager, one company, one finished room. You don't coordinate anything; we do.
Are you certified and insured?
Yes. Owner Jeremy Tucker is an NFI Certified Hearth Design Specialist. We're CSIA-certified for chimney service, BBB-accredited, and fully insured from the first estimate through the final walkthrough.

Cost & Financing
How much does a fireplace installation cost in Indianapolis?
Most full installations run between $5,000 and $25,000+ depending on the unit, fuel type, venting requirements, and the scope of finish work (tile, stone, mantle, built-ins). Our online instant estimate gets you a real ballpark in under a minute.
Do you offer financing?
Yes—multiple plans, including 0% interest options up to 15 months. See the financing page for plan overviews.
How long does a fireplace install take?
A simple insert install can wrap in a single day. A full remodel with framing, stone, and built-ins typically runs 5–10 working days. We give you a firm timeline at the in-home assessment.
Chimney & Repair
How often should I sweep my chimney?
CSIA recommends annual sweeping for wood-burning systems and at minimum every two years for gas. Heavy users should sweep yearly regardless of fuel type.
Do I need to replace my chimney liner?
Three common reasons: the existing liner is cracked or deteriorated, you're switching fuel types (e.g., wood to gas), or you're installing a high-efficiency insert that needs a properly-sized liner. The Level II inspection tells us definitively.
Can you service brands you didn't install?
Yes—we service most major brands whether we sold them or not. Heat & Glo, Mendota, Lopi, DaVinci, Quadra Fire, Heatilator, Travis, Modern Flames, Dimplex, ISOKERN, and dozens more.
Should I repair my fireplace or replace it?
If the unit is 20+ years old, parts are discontinued, or the repair quote approaches 40–50% of a new install, we'll tell you straight that replacement is the better long-term call. We'd rather lose the repair sale than do an expensive fix on a unit you'll replace soon anyway.
Choosing a Fireplace
Gas, wood, pellet, or electric—which is right for me?
Quick guide: Gas for ease (flip a switch, no mess). Wood for ambiance and heating during outages. Pellet for serious zone heating with set-it-and-forget-it operation. Electric for renters or rooms without venting. Our AI helper walks you through it in under two minutes.
What's the difference between a fireplace and an insert?
A fireplace is a built-in unit installed in a new opening (new construction or full remodel). An insert goes inside an existing fireplace opening, typically to upgrade an old, inefficient masonry fireplace into a modern, efficient unit. Inserts are usually less expensive than full new installs.
Can I bring an inspiration photo or AI-generated rendering?
Yes—please do. Customers come in all the time with AI renderings, Pinterest boards, or magazine clippings, and we've built finished rooms that match those references closely. We've also built an AI Visualizer right into this site—for the best results, browse our catalog, find a fireplace you like, and click "Visualize in Your Space" on the product page to see that exact unit rendered into a photo of your actual room.
