Real Repairs, Real Fast
When Your Fireplace Stops Working, You Feel It
A fireplace that won't light is more than an inconvenience—it's a cold living room, a missed evening, and the start of "we should probably just replace the whole thing." Most of the time, it's a fixable problem. Pilot assemblies, thermocouples, gaskets, blower motors, control boards—these are repairs we make every week.
Our CSIA-certified technicians diagnose, source the parts, and finish the repair on most service calls. We service every brand we sell—and most brands we don't, because in 49 years we've seen most of them.

Common Questions
How much does a fireplace repair cost?
Diagnostic visits start around $150–$200. Most common repairs (thermocouples, remotes, log replacements) finish for $250–$600 total. Bigger jobs—control boards, blower replacements, glass—typically run $500–$1,200. We'll quote you a firm number before we start any work.
Do you service brands you don't sell?
Yes—we service most major brands whether we sold them or not. Heat & Glo, Fireplace X, Mendota, Lopi, DaVinci, Quadra Fire, Modern Flames, Dimplex, Heatilator, Travis, ISOKERN, and dozens more. If you can tell us the brand and model, we can usually help.
How quickly can you come out?
In peak season (October through February) we're typically scheduling repairs 1–2 weeks out. Off-season, often within a few business days. If your situation is urgent, call us at (317) 299-2229 and we'll do our best to get someone out sooner.
How long does a typical repair take?
Most repairs finish during the first visit—pilot assemblies, thermocouples, remotes, log replacements, and glass cleanings are all single-trip jobs. If we need to order parts (control boards, blower motors, OEM-specific components), the typical turnaround is 5–10 business days, then we come back to install.
Do you offer annual tune-ups or maintenance plans?
Yes—annual fireplace tune-ups are a regular service we provide. Most customers schedule theirs in early fall (September or October) before peak heating season hits. The tune-up includes inspection, cleaning, gasket and seal checks, ignition testing, and minor adjustments. Catching small issues during a tune-up is dramatically cheaper than a no-heat call in January.
Should I just replace the unit instead of repairing?
Sometimes, yes. If the unit is 20+ years old, parts are discontinued, or the repair quote approaches 40–50% of a new install, we'll tell you straight that replacement is the better long-term call. We'd rather lose the repair sale than do a $1,200 fix on a unit you're going to replace in two years anyway.
